The Information—which includes viewpoints, techniques, anecdotes, suggestions and other ideas—is of an educational nature and provided as general information only. INFORMATION ABOUT EFT TAPPING

Some of the Information presented pertains to an innovative meridian-based wellness practice known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), or “EFT tapping.” EFT is based on the same ancient Chinese meridian system that underlies acupuncture. It employs a gentle tapping procedure intended to stimulate qi points—or vital energy points—on the face and body with the goal of releasing blocked energy in the meridians and improving the flow of qi. Although EFT appears to have promising mental and physical benefits and has produced remarkable clinical results, it has yet to be fully researched by the academic, medical, and psychological communities and should therefore be seen as experimental. EFT is self-regulated and is considered “alternative” or “complementary” to healing methods that are licensed in the United States. Due to EFT’s status as a relatively new healing approach, and because the extent of EFT’s effectiveness, risks, and benefits is not fully known, you agree to accept and assume full responsibility for any and all risks associated with accessing the Website or the Information and with using EFT.

INFORMATION ABOUT QIGONG

Some of the Information presented pertains to the ancient Taoist healing practice known as qigong. Qigong is based on the same Chinese meridian system that underlies acupuncture and employs techniques for improving the flow of qi, or energy, throughout the body. Although qigong appears to have promising mental and physical benefits and has produced impressive clinical results, it has yet to be fully researched by the academic, medical, and psychological communities and should therefore be considered experimental. Qigong is self-regulated and is considered “alternative” or “complementary” to healing methods that are licensed in the United States. Due to qigong’s status as a relatively new practice in North America, and because the extent of qigong’s effectiveness, risks, and benefits is not fully known, you agree to accept and assume full responsibility for any and all risks associated with accessing the Website or the Information and with practicing qigong.

USE OF THE INFORMATION

EFT, qigong, and other techniques and ideas included in the Information are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. The authors strongly advise that you seek the advice of qualified healthcare providers as appropriate before attempting to use the Information, before implementing any technique or opinion expressed therein, and before making any health decision. You agree to consult with your professional healthcare provider for any specific medical problem or psychological disorder you may have. In addition, you understand that no part of the Information is intended as—or should be interpreted as—a recommendation that you stop seeing any of your healthcare professionals or taking any prescribed medication without consulting a licensed professional, even if, after accessing or using the Information, it appears that such therapy or medication is no longer necessary.

MISCELLANEOUS
